Our team building: This year, we wanted to take things one step further and show, both to ourselves and to others, that this activity is not only an exceptional service for our clients, but also a tool that is part of our own corporate culture.
A real experience for our own team
On Tuesday, November 25th, the entire Alpha Zulu team departed from Barcelona heading to Mallorca to experience our own end-of-year team-building. 📅
But careful! This is not a symbolic action nor a simple year-end event: it’s an activity we apply internally because we deeply believe in its value. If we recommend this experience to companies and groups, it’s because we’re the first ones to put it into practice.
For nearly a week, the team will share navigation, on-board tasks, joint decision-making, and moments that are nearly impossible to experience inside an office. Because, in the end, that daily coexistence is what strengthens bonds, enhances communication, and reminds us why we do what we do.
Why our team building is more than an activity: it’s our way of working
At Alpha Zulu, we understand team building as something alive, not as a closed, predefined product.
Sailing together means connecting with one another, learning to trust, to coordinate, and to stay calm when the sea invites us to improvise or adjust plans. And that’s precisely why we choose this activity as an essential part of our team’s natural development.
Experiencing our team building ourselves allows us to:
- Strengthen cohesion across all areas of the company
- Reinforce internal communication in a different environment
- Put into practice what we teach to the groups who travel with us
- Remember that sailing is more than a job: it’s our shared passion
This time, Mallorca, with its mix of nature, coastline, and autumn calm, was the destination chosen for this experience. And although temperatures in November are lower, for those of us who love the sea, this season brings a special charm: calm waters, unique landscapes, and a sense of adventure that can only be felt outside the high season.
If we do it, it’s because it works
We wanted to share this internal Alpha Zulu experience with you because we deeply believe in this and in all the services we offer. And everything we propose to the teams who trust us in the context of group development (training voyages, cohesion activities, team-navigation dynamics, shared challenges, and more), we also apply within our own walls. 🙌🏽
